Generalized Anxiety About Smart Meters

Not every health problem is caused by radio frequencies or electromagnetic fields, but far too many chronic, modern, and mysterious illness are.

One that is almost certainly caused by radio waves and AC (50/60 Hz) magnetic fields is called generalized anxiety disorder. Many who have made the connection between strong sources of EMFs and negative health or emotional effects report that avoiding places with elevated fields makes their life much less stressful, and it becomes easier to focus and put things in perspective.

It's interesting to see the overlap in symptoms between electro-hypersensitivity and GAD:

• Almost constant presence of worry or tension
• Difficulty concentrating
• Fatigue
• Irritability
• Problems falling or staying asleep, and sleep that is often restless and unsatisfying
• Restlessness, and often becoming startled very easily
• Muscle tension
• Shakiness
• Headaches
• Nausea

Medication and cognitive-behavior therapy are recommended in most cases, but what if a disorder is caused by a person's environment, and that environmental stressor is still there, or getting stronger?

Bipolar, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder are other mental illnesses that may not necessarily be caused by man-made electromagnetic fields, but whatever ails you, it never hurts to reduce your EMFs.

Remember the precautionary limits are 0.2 Volts per meter for radio fields and 1 milligauss for magnetic fields.

  1. Very useful observation...I have seen GAD diminish significantly without drugs or therapy by reducing wireless exposures. The problem here is that until our society acknowledges the bio-active effects of non-ionizing radiation, cognitive behavioral therapy will try to convince folks that the effects of wireless appliances are minimal, and therefore should be ignored. See this excerpt from the previously provided link to GAD:

"Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps you understand your behaviors and how to gain control of them. You will have 10 to 20 visits over a number of weeks. During therapy you will learn how to:
    • Understand and gain control of your distorted views of life stressors, such as other people's behavior or life events.
    • Recognize and replace panic-causing thoughts, decreasing the sense of helplessness.
    • Manage stress and relax when symptoms occur.
    • Avoid thinking that minor worries will develop into very bad problems.
Avoiding caffeine, illicit drugs, and even some cold medicines may also help reduce symptoms.
A healthy lifestyle that includes exercise, enough rest, and good nutrition can help reduce the impact of anxiety"

If this kind of therapy could acknowledge the radiation as a legitimate form of stress, I'm sure
that therapists would have much better success rates, especially if folks are able to address this type of stress effectively. I can see that happening, and I can't wait to see folks resolving some of this issues which cause great suffering, and even poverty.

  2. Doctors and other medical professionals, including veterinarians, have nothing to gain by telling people to reduce their exposure to harmful, invisible, and ubiquitous agents. If a patient were to actually be HEALED, then income from repeated visits and prescriptions would disappear.

This is a fundamental difference between Eastern and Western medicine.

Hospitals and treatment centers are increasingly filled with electromagnetic fields, making it very difficult for someone with EHS to even see a doctor.
