EMR Testing Requested In Le Roy

Advocacy groups push for even more testing at Le Roy school - Democrat and Chronicle Watchdog Blog

Several advocacy groups working with parents of afflicted students in Le Roy have released a detailed call for more thorough testing in and around the Genesee County high school where as many as 18 students have reported unusual neurological symptoms.

Parents and their advocates had pressed for more testing to look for any environmental contaminants that might have contributed to the mysterious illnesses. After resisting for several weeks, the school district announced Saturday it would conduct a second, more detailed round of air tests inside the junior-senior high school building.

From the letter:

We request that the school conduct an occupant health survey and present the findings to the new Advisory Committee. The survey should be a survey of all school occupants (letters to staff and letters home to parents) asking about any new or worsening health symptoms since 8/2011, including headaches, migraines, fatigue, memory and concentration difficulties, confusion, coordination issues, shortness of breath/asthma exacerbation, GI symptoms, rashes and loss of appetite. It should also ask if children or staff who are out sick or on vacation have new or more intense symptoms on return to school. It should also ask if there are other settings (mall, church, supermarket, etc.) where similar symptoms are likely to flare up.

One of the specific requests:

We have heard that there is a large microwave tower next to the school property. We request Leader investigate if this is the case, and if it is, to have the utility conduct electromagnetic field radiation (EMR) testing outside and inside the JSHS.

Meanwhile, some think social media platforms, like Facebook and YouTube, may be to blame for the spreading affliction.
