The funny thing is that we have actually got used to life without it. Admittedly there is a bit of a backlog of frozen leftovers we need to use up, but we've been surprised how good the oven is at reheating food. Who knew!
Growing up with microwaves I think we both assumed that it would be near impossible to reheat food without burning it in a conventional oven. Turns out we were wrong. All it takes is a little more time and planning and our dietary life has hardly suffered without the fated home appliance.
If, or rather when, as I keep correcting my wife, we get our Panasonic microwave back I'm not sure we'll actually want to keep it. The space in which it used to sit has already been useful for other kitchen appliances, and a little extra worktop area.
