Just like Smart Meters, compact fluorescent lightbulbs emit biologically harmful radiation, affect power quality, and interfere with other electronics. While analog meters and incandescent bulbs are almost entirely glass and metal and pose almost no risk of fire (when properly installed), Smart Meters and CFLs are made overseas out of mostly plastic and cheap circuitry, making them much more susceptible to spontaneous combustion.
