Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) is a much discussed phenomena surrounding the Smart Meter debate.
Those who suffer physiological or psychological ailments in the presence of man-made EMR/RF often receive misdiagnoses from their health care providers which can result in improperly prescribed medication or expensive treatments.
People who deny that others have real allergies to electromagnetic fields are quick to throw around tinfoil hat jokes and point to some study that says most people who claim to be sensitive can't determine an exposure most of the time.Somewhere in between are the millions who aren't sick from EMR exposure yet, but will be in a few months or years.
While the FCC's RF guidelines are inadequate for assessing the risk from Smart Meter emissions, the term electro-sensitive may outdated and unhelpful as well.In the same vein as Post Traumatic Stress Injury, it might be worth calling it what it is: Electromagnetic Injury. Instead of labeling the patient, why not label the ailment?
Anyone can choose to be electro-cautious or electro-aware, with or without the help of a smarter meter.
