Talk About It

Concern in Cowichan over Electromagnetic Radiation - HQ Cowichan Valley

A group of concerned citizens will be gathering in Cowichan to discuss the effect electromagnetic radiation might be having on our health.

William Thomas, a journalist who has been researching the topic since 1992, is giving a talk called, "Smart meters and wireless... should we be worried?"

Luke Mills is a broadcast engineer at SunFM. He said it is too early right now to gauge long term effects, but he believes there is reason to be aware of what you are being exposed to.

“I do believe there could be some long term effects being that I’ve been subject to tumours in the past. They’ve all been non-cancerous, but it’s hard to say. I’ve known a lot of long time broadcast engineers that have had cancer and do have cancer.”

  1. Alan Farley many-decades broadcaster on KALW here in San Francsico recently died of pancreatic cancer, supposedly a rare cancer, and a painful way to go.
